Shop closing time

We have had a request to close the shop at 6pm on Wednesday
(rather than midnight) to give producers more time to get
their goods ready.

We have producers who checked their orders 5 or 6pm Wednesday, and then missed items ordered later Wed night. We can leave the closing time at midnight and the producers will need to wait to Thursday morning to check their orders.

Another producer asked if the shop could close 6pm Wed so she could check her orders then, and we have emailed producers asking for their comments.

Grafton producers are sending unperishable items by Fastaway. The goods need to be transported into Grafton by the producer by Thursday afternoon, A midnight closing only gives these producers Thursday morning to get goods ready. Trish from Fig Trees said she can get up early to get hers ready, but we may have more producers sending goods by overnight freight in the future. Question is do we make it difficult for some producers in order to allow shoppers an extra night to shop.

If we close the shop earlier, what time to allow producers who may go to bed early to check their orders on Wednesday night? 6pm 7.30 8pm??
